The Pestana Douro Riverside is located in the premises of a former soap and candle factory. The large brick chimney that stands in front of the reception is a visible reminder of its history. Inspired by the aromas of floral soaps once produced here, each floor is dedicated to the scent and color of the flowers that identifies it: lavender, jasmine, orange blossom, rose, cherry blossom, chamomile, geranium and lily.
